September 2026 was a month of active engagement, reflection, health promotion, digital wellness, and health-tech advocacy for MedWell Club.
The month was marked by two major engagements: participation in the Kigali Car Free Day on 13 September 2026, where MedWell Club joined other movements in promoting an active and healthy lifestyle, and representation at the 5th Africa HealthTech Summit (#AHTS5) from 30 September to 2 October 2026 under the theme “Wellness for All.”
Alongside these physical and professional engagements, MedWell continued expanding access to health information through its podcast, digital wellness platforms, and health magazine.
13 September 2026
On 13 September 2026, MedWell Club participated in Kigali's Car Free Day, joining other health and community movements, including the NCD Alliance, in promoting physical activity and healthier lifestyles.
The mass sport provided an opportunity for MedWell Club members to actively engage in a community-wide wellness activity while reinforcing the importance of physical activity in preventing non-communicable diseases and promoting overall wellbeing.
MedWell Club emphasized that physical wellness should not be an occasional commitment but rather an intentional part of everyday life.

Physical wellness should be intentional. Staying active, moving regularly, and taking care of our bodies are simple but meaningful steps toward a healthier lifestyle.
MedWell Club · Car Free Day

At Car Free Day, MedWell Club joined other health and community movements in promoting physical activity and healthier lifestyles, among them the NCD Alliance.
Physical activity plays a part in preventing non-communicable diseases, which is why a community-wide mass sport was a natural setting for the conversation.

Following the mass sport, MedWell Club members gathered for a reflection session. The discussion connected the day's physical activity with the broader vision of the MedWell Initiative and its different approaches to supporting wellness.
The reflection highlighted how wellness can be supported not only through physical activity but also through accessible health information, digital tools, continuous support, and meaningful health conversations.
